Madison St. Project Updates

OVERVIEW OF MADISON ST. PROJECT

    The 2026 Madison St. Reconstruction Project (from 2nd Ave. E to 8th Ave. W) will begin mid-April and will be completed mid-October.   This     project will include water, sewer and storm upgrades, street reconstruction and sidewalk replacement.

PROJECT UPDATES 

Week of April 13 (updated 4/13/26)

    Work to be done: 

    Water main will be installed starting at 4th Ave. W to 1st Ave.

    Impact: 

    Street closures are to be expected.

Week of April 6 (updated 4/7/26):

    Work to be done:

    Trees along construction route will be removed.
    Blacktop will be removed on various blocks.
    Sidewalks will remain accessible.
    Some sanitary sewer replacement work may begin. 

    Impact:

    Watch for periodic street closures.
