Water/Sewer Utilities
The City of Durand Water/Sewer Utility Department is responsible for providing and managing the infrastructure and services related to water supply and wastewater disposal. The Public Works Department oversees the operations of the utilities with the assistance of administrative staff. The Utility provides the following:

Water Supply
- Safe Drinking Water: The water utility is responsible for ensuring safe drinking water for our customers.
- Distribution: We distribute the water to homes, businesses, and industries through a network of pipes, pumps, and storage tanks.

Sewer and Wastewater Management
- Collection: The sewer utility manages the sewer system, which collects wastewater from homes, businesses, and industries. This includes both sanitary sewage (from toilets, sinks, etc.) and stormwater (rainwater runoff).
- Treatment: Wastewater is sent to treatment facility where it is processed to remove contaminants.

Maintenance and Upkeep
- The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure, ensuring the water and sewer systems operate smoothly, and repairing any leaks or blockages that may occur.

- Our Administrative Office handles customer billing for the water and sewer utilities. If you have any questions or concerns about your bill, please contact the billing clerk. Bills can be paid on-line, in person, mailed or placed in the secure drop box outside City Hall.
