Park Rules and Camping Reservations

Memorial Park:
Dogs are not allowed at Memorial Park per the City of Durand ordinance.

Tarrant Park:
Dogs are permitted at Tarrant Park, except in the pool area. Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and must provide the means to do so. While doggie bags are available at the park as a courtesy, please note that due to misuse, they are not guaranteed.

Camping Reservations:
Reservations for camping in 2025 can be made starting in January 2025, using the camping registration form online or by emailing jking@durandwi.gov.

For the Blues on the Chippewa event, taking place from July 31st to August 2nd, 2025, reservations can be made beginning at 8 AM on February 10, 2025, using the provided form. No early reservations will be accepted.

Tarrant Park Information - The water is off at Tarrant and Memorial Park
 Tarrant Park is located on Durand’s far northeast side, situated immediately north of State Highway 85.
This is a fully functional community park, roughly 16 acres in size.
 
Camping & picnic shelter reservations can be made Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:00p.m.

Reservations for Blues on The Chippewa Weekend can be made via the link below starting at 8am on February 10th. No early reservation requests will be permitted.
     
RV Camping is $45 per night, Tent Camping is $20 per night,
the Dump Station is $10 (included if you are camping)
& Picnic Shelter Rental is $25.00 per day.

  • Weekend or after hours, please check the reservations calendar for open campsites.
  • Tarrant Park Campground does not have an on-site attendant.  
  • Electricity is available year-round. There is one electrical post for every two RV Sites. Each electrical post has two 50-amp service outlets and one 30-amp service outlet. It is the responsibility of the campers to have adapters, or the means necessary to hook up to electricity.
  • TARRANT Park IS NOT PLOWED OUT IN THE WINTER. PLEASE MAKE BACKUP ARRANGEMENTS.
  • Water is available roughly May 15th through October 15th (weather permitting).
  • 10 improved RV sites – paved pad, electric, and water.
  • 8 Tent Camping sites – with electric provided.
  • THE SWIMMING POOL & SHOWERS WILL NOT BE AVALIBLE IN 2024 DUE TO POOL COSTRUCTION
  • Three open picnic shelters with electricity for picnics, family gatherings, etc. 
  • Playground equipment including a complex, swings, slides and spring toys
  • Volleyball sand court, bring your own ball.
  • Gaga Ball Ring (bring your own ball).
  • Basketball court.
  • Charcoal grills
  • Restroom facilities - open from about May 15th until October 15th (weather permitting)
  • Direct access to the Chippewa River State Bike Trail
  • Dogs are allowed at Tarrant Park, except in the pool area. Dog owners are responsible to clean up and provide the means to pick up after their dog. There are doggie bags at the park as a courtesy, however due to someone taking an excessive amount of these bags, they are not guaranteed.

 

 

Memorial Park

There are two picnic shelters available for to rent at Memorial Park. To make a picnic shelter reservation please contact Jenni King at City Hall Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm at (715) 672-8770 ext. 1 

Shelter rental is $25.00 for the day.
