Comprehensive Plan Project (2026)
Project Overview
The City of Durand is creating a Comprehensive Plan (pursuant to WI State Statute 66.1001) to guide how our community grows and improves over the next 20 years. This plan is about making sure we remain a great place to live, work, and visit. It will help answer questions like:
- Where will new homes and businesses go?
- How can we keep our neighborhoods safe and connected?
- What steps can we take to protect natural areas and parks?
- How do
we support local jobs and attract new opportunities?
By planning ahead, we can make smart decisions about roads, housing, and services so your tax dollars are used wisely and your quality of life improves. It also serves as a guide for city staff and elected officials to maintain a steady vision for the community, ensuring decisions align with long-term goals rather than short-term fixes.
Your voice matters!
Public input will shape priorities like
walkable streets, housing options, and community amenities. Together, we’ll
create a vision that reflects what YOU want for our future.
